Corvette… An Economy Car?

I enjoy taking people to lunch in my car. When they get in I ask if they want a ride to lunch, or if they want “A Ride ” to lunch. I don’t want to scare someone. Unless they ask for it.
One of the best parts of the “ride” [...]

Got a Wave

It has been a while, but I got a Corvette Wave from a C6 on the way in to work this morning. Very cool.

Actuator replaced, all is well

I got my pop-up headlight fixed over the weekend. It seems that the actuator had gone out on the driver’s side. This fixed two things… the pop-up was the obvious problem. The other issue was a bit more puzzling. When I would turn on the fog lights and only the fog lights the headlights would [...]

When Pop-ups Don’t

No, I’m not talking about pop-up advertisements on the Internet. I’m talking about my pop-up headlights. One does, one doesn’t.

Column Locked! Yes, it happened to me…

Today I left the office, normal day, for a Friday. I got out to my car, like I’ve done many other times. Popped the hatch, unlatched the top, and stored it in the back. Like I’ve done many other times. Put the key in the ignition, like I’ve done so many other times.
Pull Key and [...]

The license plate

The license plate on my car reads LANYAP. And it has nothing to do with Local Area Networks (LAN) or talking (YAP). What it does have to do with is growing up in south Louisiana. The French / Cajun influence is very strong in that area of the state, and so there are lots of [...]

First Vette

Here it is… my first Corvette. I’ve been carrying this car around for years, just waiting for the day when I would be able to actually drive one. That day is here!

For the record, this is listed as a 1984 Chevrolet Coupe made by Matchbox. That was the first year of the “C4″ (fourth generation) [...]

Why Sunset?

Why do I call my car the “Sunset Vette”? My main hobby is wildlife and landscape photography. In fact, you can see some of my work online if you are interested. When I first saw the color that Chevrolet calls Magnetic Red II it reminded me of a brilliant sunset.
Plus, it rhymes.
And now I can [...]
