Everybody In The Title Hunt
I love this time of year, when all of the college (and NFL) teams are gearing up for the fall seasons. I just read the Sports Illustrated college preview issue and they have LSU plugged in at #9 to start the season. Georgia is #1, and I don’t think that’s a surprise given how they finished last year. LSU dropped a number of players, but I think one player they won’t be missing as much as everyone thinks is Glenn Dorsey.
Dorsey could take over the game; he was that kind of presense in the middle. But if you watched the Tigers trounce the Buckeyes in the BCS Bowl you saw the coming out party for Ricky Jean-Francois, and I think he’s going to be a new force to reckon with this year. I think LSU will miss the stability of Matt Flynn more that Dorsey just because of the number of touches the quarterback gets every game.
I guess I’m like everyone else… I will be looking at the schedules (LSU opens against Appalachain State who stunned Michigan on the road last year to open the season) and trying to figure out the rough spots (at Florida), the “must win” games (home against Georgia), and trying to post some thoughts before the season starts.
