From an AP Wire story:

LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who had legal and disciplinary problems throughout his college career, was kicked off the defending national championship team.

Coach Les Miles said Perrilloux “didn’t fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete.”

Unfortunately, I can’t say that this is too surprising. It’s better to do it now while you have time to set some expectations for your incoming freshmen or other young quarterbacks than wait until the middle of the season next year.

Ryan had 3 suspensions in 12 months. That can’t be good for team chemistry, and it’s certainly not good for Ryan. I hope that he gets another opportunity to play and that he makes the best of it.
