Jeremy Fisher: Goodbye Blue Monday
I am fairly new to using YouTube. I posted a few links a while back when I reviewed KT Tunstall’s new album, but I don’t really spend a lot of time out there. Somehow while I was out there I discovered Jeremy Fisher and decided that I really liked this music.
And his videos. He has several videos out there on YouTube that use a stop-motion form of photography, and they’re fun to watch. I have since picked up his release from Amazon.com (a product link should appear on the top-right corner of this blog post if you are interested) and am really enjoying it.
Amazon often offers a 20-30 second preview of songs. Since I started playing with YouTube a bit I have discovered that quite a few artists have videos other there (whether they are legal or not is another question). It’s a great way to get more than a taste of the artist, and really helps me decide if I want to purchase something. I’ve also downloaded some of my favorite videos to my iPod.
But back to Jeremy Fisher… he’s a young artist from Canada. He sounds a bit like Paul Simon on some songs, and he uses a lot of acoustic guitar. Check him out; you might like him. I know I do.
