Doug Flutie is Back
Last night Boston College pulled off an improbable comeback victory over Virginia Tech. With less than 3 minutes to go VT was leading the game 10-0. BC managed to score a touchdown with 2:11 left on the clock. They recovered the kickoff and scored again with only seconds left on the clock to win 14-10 and preserve their #2 ranking. Since they played a top-ten team this victory will help them pull some extra points in the BCA standings.
Will they run the table? Maybe. Will Ohio State? Somehow I doubt it. This season could be a question of timing once again, meaning if you lose early in the season you have a chance to move back up as teams ahead of you lose for the first (or second) time. If you lose late, there’s no time left to recover. Ohio State finishes the season at Michigan. Don’t think Michigan won’t relish the opportunity to take them down.
LSU pays Nick Saban and Alabama a visit this next weekend. I think they should win, but Alabama has proved to be a tough opponent in the past. If LSU can win they should lock up the SEC West title and be assured of at least playing in the SEC title game.
Edited to correct game schedule; LSU does not play this weekend.
